Rochelle Eulah Eileen Wiseman (born 21 March 1989) is an English singer, actress and television presenter. She is best known for her work in pop groups S Club 8 and The Saturdays. Wiseman has achieved six Top 10 hits with her first band, S Club 8 and ten Top 10 hits with girl group, The Saturdays.

Career

2001-2005: S Club 8

S Club Juniors were formed in 2001 through a reality TV show, known as S Club Search. The auditions were aired on CBBC. S Club Juniors' appearances was considered a success and consequently 19 Entertainment, the management company that had created S Club 7 and auditioned S Club Juniors, decided they should perform as a support act at all of the venues on the tour. By the end of the tour, S Club Juniors had created a following and, with the encouragement of 19, Polydor Records signed the group. Their first single was called "One Step Closer". The single was promoted by the TV series ''S Club Junior: The Story'' and was released in the UK on 22 April 2002 in a chart battle with the Sugababes who released their comeback single the same day. A second single was named "Automatic High", filmed in Spain, while S Club 7 began their fourth TV series. Released on 22 July 2002, the single reached number two in the UK charts selling 52,000 copies, and spent eight weeks inside the UK top 75 and sold in excess of 110,000 copies in the UK. Their third single "New Direction" released on 7 October reached number two in the UK charts selling 55,000 copies in the first week. It became their third consecutive top ten hit, selling 130,000 copies in six weeks. The Juniors released their debut album ''Together'' on 21 October reaching number five in its first week of sale and selling 40,000 copies. Their fourth single, "Puppy Love/Sleigh Ride", was released on 9 December 2002. The single debuted at number six in the UK charts, and sold 85,000 copies in the UK, spending eight weeks inside the UK Top 40.

The Juniors began work on their second album in January 2003 but Polydor wanted a complete change after high expectations for their debut album, a format with Simon Fuller wanted a massive improvement and there were even plans to axe members after negative reviews. The band joined S Club on their S Club United tour in April 2003 where the announcement came of a name changed to S Club 8 and an upbeat fifth single, "Fool No More". The single released on 30 June reached number four in the UK chart, selling 26,000 copies in its first week and overall 75,000 copies in the UK. A second single, "Sundown", was released in the UK on 29 September 2003 reaching number four in the UK and became their sixth and final top ten hit and selling 37,000 copies in its first week and 80,000 altogether. The album, ''Sundown'', was released on 13 October 2003 to dismal reviews. It reached number 13 in the UK charts falling to 40 in the second week. It sold 60,000 copies in the UK and 315,859 worldwide. A sixth single, "Don't Tell Me You're Sorry", was released in the UK on 29 December 2003 and reached number 11 in the UK, becoming their first single to chart outside the top ten.

S Club 8 went on to ''I Dream'' for 19 Entertainment because they had already agreed to do it. Unlike the ''S Club 7'' shows which focused upon the band's fictional exploits, ''I Dream'' saw S Club 8 as members of a larger ensemble cast. ''I Dream'' revolved around the summer school Avalon Heights, run by Professor Toone (played by Christopher Lloyd), where the characters tried to improve on their talents in the performing arts. The show featured many songs and dances: normally two songs per episode. S Club 8 split up in early 2005.

2007-present: The Saturdays

Since 2007, Wiseman is a member of the girl group The Saturdays, whose other members are Una Healy, Mollie King, Vanessa White, and fellow former-S Club 8 member Frankie Sandford. The band have enjoyed seven top ten hits, and three top ten album hits. The album peaked at number nine on the UK Albums Chart and produced another top ten single, "Ego". The Saturdays released a mini album, ''Headlines!'', on 16 August 2010. The band have sold roughly 2 millions records as of August 2010. After the release of their first studio album, ''Chasing Lights'', which later gained a certification of Platinum in the United Kingdom, they started their first headling tour, ''The Work Tour''. ''Chasing Lights'' gained the group four top ten singles and five top forty singles.

In October 2009, the band released their second studio album, ''Wordshaker'', with first single, "Forever Is Over. The song was written by Louis Biancaniello, Sam Watters, James Bourne and produced by The Runaways. The single charted at number two on the UK Official Charts. The single was originally written for ''American Idol'' winner, Kelly Clarkson, written by ex-Busted member James Bourne. The song was also wanted by American pop rock artist P!nk. The B-side of the song "I Can't Wait" was written by the band with Hannah Robinson and producers Ben Macklin, Julian Peake and Richard Stannard. A week later, ''Wordshaker'' was released with opening sales of 15,022, where the album peaked at number 9, the same debut at first album, ''Chasing Lights''. The Saturdays appeared in adverts for several products including a brand of deodorant, tampons, mobile phones, an operating system, and hair removal products. In early 2010, the second and last single from ''Wordshaker'' was released, "Ego", where it peaked at number nine, in the UK Singles Charts, and number 10 in Ireland. Although the single was the bands, second lowest charting, it later became their second best selling single with the song later achieving a Silver certification.

In summer 2010, the band released their eighth single, "Missing You", where it charted at number three in the UK singles charts, after being tipped to chart a number one during the midweek chart sales. Universal Music said "Missing You" is "bittersweet lyrics are an ode to a lost love, sung over some synth riffs." due for release on 16 August 2010. On 26 June, the music video was premiered on The Saturdays' website. It was shot in Malaga, Spain. The single was performed for the first time an T4 on the Beach 2010 on 4 July 2010, though King was absent from the performance due to an injury. Later the band released their third album, ''Headlines!'', where it had similar success to the lead single from the album, "Missing You" and the album charted at number three in the UK top 40 album charts. Rochelle Wiseman confirmed that the second single from the album would be, "Higher" After Flo Rida beat the group to number one for the second time, the American rapper offered to do a collaboration with the band, after saying, "I don’t know much about The Saturdays but we put smiles on people’s faces when we make music, which counts more than getting number ones." I was later announced that Flo Rida would, in fact, feature on the single. It was later confirmed, by the band's official website that Flo Rida had recorded a new version of the girls' ninth single, "Higher", which Rida's vocals would be featured in it.

Personal life

Wiseman was born in Barking, East London. and attended Coopers' Company and Coborn School in Upminster, Havering, and also attended Colin's Performing Arts School. Wiseman also presented children's television programme ''Smile'' from 2004 to 2006.

Wiseman has been in a relationship with JLS member Marvin Humes since March 2010. They got engaged on 31 December 2011. She announced it via Twitter. Along with her tweet, she posted a picture of her and her husband-to-be drinking champagne and flashing her loveheart diamond engagement ring. She is the niece of football manager and former England international footballer Paul Ince.

Robert Thomas Pattinson (born 13 May 1986) is an English actor, model, musician, and producer. Born and raised in London, Pattinson started out his career by playing the role of Cedric Diggory in ''Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire''. Later, he landed the leading role of Edward Cullen in the film adaptations of the ''Twilight'' novels by Stephenie Meyer, and came to worldwide fame, thus establishing himself among the highest paid and most bankable actors in Hollywood. In 2010, Pattinson was named one of ''TIME'' magazine's 100 Most Influential People in The World, and also in the same year ''Forbes'' ranked him as one of the most powerful celebrities in the world in the Forbes Celebrity 100.

Early life

Pattinson was born in London, England. His mother, Clare, worked for a modelling agency, and his father, Richard, imported vintage cars from the U.S. Pattinson has two elder sisters, singer Lizzy Pattinson, and Victoria Pattinson. Growing up in the Barnes suburb of London, he attended Tower House School until he was 12, and then The Harrodian School. He became involved in amateur theatre at the Barnes Theatre Company. He auditioned and was cast in a small role in ''Guys and Dolls''. He next auditioned for Thornton Wilder's ''Our Town'' and was cast as George Gibbs. He also played in ''Anything Goes'' and ''Macbeth''. He caught the attention of an acting agent in a production of ''Tess of the d'Urbervilles'' and began looking for professional roles.

Career

Modelling

Pattinson began modelling when he was twelve years old, but the number of jobs began to decrease only four years later. In December 2008 he blamed the lack of work as a model on his masculine appearance: "When I first started I was quite tall and looked like a girl, so I got lots of jobs, because it was during that period where the androgynous look was cool. Then, I guess, I became too much of a guy, so I never got any more jobs. I had the most unsuccessful modelling career." Pattinson appeared in the advertising campaign for Hackett's autumn 2007 collection.

Acting

Early career

Pattinson had supporting roles in the made for television film ''Ring of the Nibelungs'' in 2004 and in director Mira Nair’s ''Vanity Fair'', although his scenes in the latter were deleted and only appear on the DVD version. In May 2005, he was slated to appear in the UK premiere of ''The Woman Before'' at the Royal Court Theatre, but was fired shortly before the opening night and was replaced by Tom Riley. Later that year he played Cedric Diggory in ''Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire''. For this role he was named that year's ''British Star of Tomorrow'' by ''The Times'' and had more than once been touted as the next Jude Law.

2008-present

In 2008 Pattinson landed the coveted role of Edward Cullen in the film ''Twilight'', based on Stephenie Meyer's best-selling novel of the same name. According to ''TV Guide'', Pattinson was initially apprehensive about auditioning for the role of Edward Cullen, fearful that he would not be able to live up to the "perfection" expected from the character. The film was released on November 21, 2008 and turned Pattinson into an instant overnight moviestar. Though the film received mixed reviews, critics praised his and co-star Kristen Stewart's chemisty in the film. The ''New York Times'' called Pattinson a "capable and exotically beautiful" actor and Roger Ebert of the ''Chicago Sun-Times'' said he was "well-chosen" for the role.

After ''Twilight'' Pattinson starred in the independent films ''Little Ashes'' (in which he plays Salvador Dalí), ''How to Be'' (a British comedy), and''The Summer House''.

He reprised his role as Edward Cullen in the ''Twilight'' sequel ''The Twilight Saga: New Moon'' which was released on November 20, 2009. The film earned a record breaking $142,839,137 opening weekend and an overall run of $709,827,462 worldwide. Though the film received negative reviews, film critic Michael Phillips from the ''Chicago Tribune'' said Pattinson was still "interesting to watch" despite the bad makeup. Bill GoodyKoontz from the ''Arizona Republic'' said, "Pattinson's actually not in the film that much, but he does his best when he's around" and Michael O'Sullivan of the ''Washington Post'' noted that his acting was "uniformly strong".

In 2009 Pattinson presented at the 81st Academy Awards. On November 10, Revolver Entertainment released the DVD ''Robsessed'', a documentary which details Pattinson's life and popularity.

On May 13, 2010, Pattinson appeared on ''The Oprah Winfrey Show'' and on May 18, ''The Ellen DeGeneres Show'' for his film, ''The Twilight Saga: Eclipse''. He attended the official worldwide red carpet premiere for ''The Twilight Saga: Eclipse'' on June 24, 2010, at the Los Angeles Nokia Theatre and the film was released on June 30, 2010, earning $698,491,347 worldwide.

In 2010, Pattinson executively produced and starred in the film ''Remember Me'', which was released on March 12, 2010.

In 2011, he starred as Jacob Jankowski in ''Water for Elephants'', a film adaptation of the Sara Gruen novel of the same name, with Christoph Waltz and Reese Witherspoon. The film received mixed reviews but Pattinson's performance was praised. Film critic Richard Corliss from ''Time'' praised Pattinson for being "shy and watchful" and said he "radiates a slow magnetism that locks the viewer’s eyes on him", ultimately calling him "star quality". Mick LaSalle from the ''San Francisco Chronicle'' stated that Pattinson succeeded at holding his own at the center of a major feature and was "endlessly watchable". Peter Travers of the ''Rolling Stone'' said Pattinson "smolders" in the film and Todd McCarthy of ''The Hollywood Reporter'' said, "Pattinson is entirely convincing as Jacob".

Pattinson reappeared as Edward Cullen in ''The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1'', which was released on November 18, 2011, and earned $705,058,657 at the box office.

He played Georges Duroy in a film adaptation of the 1885 novel ''Bel Ami'', with Uma Thurman, Christina Ricci, and Kristin Scott Thomas. The film had a world premiere at the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival and was released on February 12, 2012.

Pattinson will be starring in the upcoming film adaptation of Don Delillo's ''Cosmopolis'', directed by David Cronenberg in 2012. The film has been selected to compete for the Palme d'Or at the 2012 Cannes Film Festival.

Music

Pattinson plays guitar and piano, and composes his own music. He also appears as the singer of two songs on the ''Twilight'' soundtrack: "Never Think", which he co-wrote with Sam Bradley, and "Let Me Sign", which was written by Marcus Foster and Bobby Long. The songs were included in the film after director Catherine Hardwicke added Pattinson's recordings into an early cut without his knowledge, and he agreed that "one of them specifically, it really made the scene better. It was like it was supposed to be there." The soundtrack for the film ''How to Be'' features three original songs performed by Pattinson and written by composer Joe Hastings.

Aside from recording for the soundtracks, Pattinson has said, "I've never really recorded anything – I just played in pubs and stuff", and when asked about a professional music career, he said, "Music is my back-up plan if acting fails." In 2010, Pattinson was awarded the 'Hollywood's Most Influential Top Unexpected Musicians' award.

Pattinson was named one of the "Sexiest Men Alive" in 2008 and 2009 by ''People'' magazine. In 2009, he was also named the "Sexiest Man Alive" by ''Glamour''. In 2009, ''Vanity Fair'' named Pattinson "the most handsome man in the world" along with Angelina Jolie as the most beautiful woman in the world.
